Introduction

Smart Brain UK is part of the Smart Brain international franchise network, which provides a mental maths and enrichment program for children ages 5 to 11. Franchisees operate their business from home and can conduct lessons in various venues such as halls, schools, pre-schools, holiday clubs and after-school clubs.

To date Smart Brain is established in Thailand, America, Canada, India, Singapore, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and U.A.E. Around 250,000 students benefit from our program in these countries. In the U.K, we conduct lessons in Chafford Hundred, Ilford, Harrow, Walthamstow and various other locations since entering the market in October 2005.

As an instructor, you will teach children mental maths using a Japanese abacus (“soroban”) during their weekly 1 hour lesson. Each lesson may be complemented by brain teasers and memory games. These help to involve and stimulate the children, who develop and improve numerous abilities including concentration, memory and listening skills. The key benefit of Smart Brain is that it stimulates a child with learning difficulty and challenges a bright child to achieve more. It extends the mental ability of a child in an uncompromising way. Mental maths is the building block that is needed for the overall academic, social and emotional development of the child. The mental stimulation through Smart Brain develops the right side of the brain of a child, which is that part of the brain responsible for conceptualisation, problem solving, non-verbal reasoning and imagination. For children and parents, the programme is a successful formula to turn a dry Maths subject into an electrifying subject, one that children will look forward to attending.

As a franchisee and instructor, you will be part of this exciting growth spurt in each child who enters through your doors. The franchisees will work with schools, community centres and independent centres in hired halls. We have a defined strategy that enables franchisees to tap into this large and prospering market for providers like Smart Brain. This programme gives every child the skill that meets their needs and gives them the opportunity to achieve their full potential in life.

What is the Potential Annual Yield?

The potential earning capacity of a franchisee is dependent on the effort, time and financial resources expended by the franchisee. At a conservative estimate, teaching 10 students for 1 hour a week, a franchisee will be taking home about almost £100 an hour. This enables you to have a lifestyle that enables you to spend part-time hours but with full time salary leaving you ample of time to spend with your family or other activities.
